=== Vacation in the Ötz Valley ===
A vacation apartment in Ötztal valley is especially interesting for “culture vultures.” One of the best loved excursion goals, excellent for families with small children, is the Ötzi Village. Exhibitions on the extensive grounds show how people lived and worked in the Neolithic Age. The tower museum in the Ötztal offers beautiful paintings and rare art objects. A mountain pass museum is located on the Timmelsjoch and offers visitors an architectural feast for the eyes. Here one can learn everything about the development of the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road, which links the Ötztal with Passeiertal valley. Many visitors who have rented a vacation apartment in the Ötztal use the High Alpine Road on the Timmelsjoch to enjoy breathtakingly beautiful views of the entire valley.
Anyone interested in religious architecture should use his vacation lodgings in the Ötztal to visit the oldest church in the region. It was already documented in the early 13th century and was built in the Late Gothic style. Especially beautiful artworks are the Gothic Pieta and a Renaissance crucifix.
As well, hikers often rent a vacation house in the Ötztal to use the many trails, which offer various degrees of difficulty. Especially popular are theme hikes. The Ötztaler Urweg trail leads hikers in the tracks of the mysterious Ötzi, whose frozen stone-age mummy was found nearby. Likewise, the Kummersee circular path is a hit. Beginners find numerous easier trips on the Forchet nature trail.
A special highlight for tourists is the sulfur springs in the Ötztal. These subterranean springs replenish the sulfur lake, around which a literal fan community has grown up.
