The castle museum has prison relics and artefacts on display, it also has collections relating to the areas past. You can also experience Kelso by foot, either choosing to go with a group, organised by leaders with plenty of stories and knowledge of the area. They can guide you at you and your groups pace making stops at attractions and points of interest. Or you can explore alone, there are plenty of websites describing walks which you can easily follow.
