Our holiday home is located in the idyllic village of Sulsdorf, a quiet and peaceful spot in the west of Fehmarn Island, just about 900 metres from the Baltic Sea. Here you can enjoy the perfect blend of tranquillity, nature and maritime charm.

Within minutes you reach the picturesque harbour village of Orth, known for its lively atmosphere, small marina, surf schools, SUP and kitesurf stations, and several cafés and restaurants right by the water. Take a stroll along the harbour, watch the boats, enjoy freshly caught fish or relax while the sun sets over the Orther Reede.

For families and watersports enthusiasts, Orth is a true paradise: a shallow, child-friendly bay, safe standing areas, and one of Northern Germany’s most popular surf spots. Thanks to the offshore peninsula Krummsteert, the water stays calm and ideal for beginners as well as advanced surfers.

In nearby Petersdorf (about 3 km) you’ll find shops, a pharmacy and a doctor’s practice – so you can enjoy the peace and nature of Sulsdorf without missing out on convenience.
