The lovingly furnished listed tower is located directly on the city wall in the heart of the city of Bad Hersfeld - only 150m from the monastery ruins of Bad Hersfeld. The well-known Bad Hersfeld Festival takes place there every year!

Rooms and equipment
The tower offers space for 2-4 people on approx. 50 square meters.
It starts on the ground floor with the spacious and high-quality natural stone bathroom including underfloor heating and a walk-in shower, hand wash basin and a separate toilet. The eastern entrance to the apartment is also located here, directly at the in-house parking lot in front of the tower.
The western entrance to the apartment is on the mezzanine floor and leads directly to the adjoining city park. From here you can also access the 1st floor, where the fully equipped kitchen including a small bar table and chairs is located.
On the 2nd floor is the living/dining room with access to a small south-facing balcony overlooking the beautiful park with ponds.
Grab a book and watch the ducks and birds by the city park lake.
In the living room there is a Smart TV with free access to Netflix/Amazon/other streaming services. There is also a double sofa bed with a mattress, which can easily be converted into a bed.
On the 3rd floor is the bedroom (gable) with a double bed.

The defense tower is a medieval tower with 4 floors. The half-timbering begins on the 2nd floor above the solid, thick walls on the ground floor.

Bad Hersfeld has wonderful cycle paths such as the 28 km long Salztal cycle path. There is also the possibility to take a trip into the past to Herzberg Castle.

Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.
Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. There may be various reasons for this:
Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.
In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.
