The Casa Marie holiday home is situated in a relaxing location directly on the lake in the picturesque holiday resort of Acquaseria. It extends over three levels, built harmoniously into the hillside, and offers a relaxing atmosphere.
The house is situated below the lakeside road. There are two private car parks above the property. A few steps lead down from the car park to the house, where you are greeted by picturesque surroundings.
Up the steps to the house is an annexe with a bedroom and a bathroom. To the right you will find a practical laundry room with a separate entrance.

Another staircase leads to the main entrance of the house. The upper floor has an L-shaped layout: At the entrance, the large, cosy living room with access to one of the terraces with breathtaking views of Lake Como. There are also two bedrooms here, with the master bedroom offering a small balcony with panoramic lake views. The outdoor area of the house is a real highlight. A natural stone staircase leads down from the living room to the spacious garden. The kitchen, which is located on the ground floor, opens onto a covered terrace with an inviting outdoor fireplace facing the lake. This area is perfect for cosy evenings outdoors. A large marble table seats 8 people. Three old olive trees provide pleasant shade in summer.
The garden extends towards the lake, and a small staircase at the side leads down to the beach. Please note that the wall to the beach drops about 4 metres vertically to the beach and offers no protection. If you are travelling with small children, a safety net will be provided free of charge.

The mountain-side entrance to the charming holiday home leads into the living room on the upper floor with access to the terrace. The living room has a sofa area and TV, and a highlight is the large grand piano, which can be used by guests. Towards the lake, a corridor leads to the twin bedroom, the bathroom with washbasin, shower, bathtub and WC. On the lake side is the double bedroom with a small balcony and views of the lake and mountains. In the entrance area, a staircase leads down to the ground floor with modern kitchen and antique dining table with access to another covered terrace with outdoor fireplace and unique views over Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio.

Above the main part of the house is the annexe with a bedroom with double sofa bed and bathroom, as well as a laundry room with separate entrance.
A natural stone staircase leads down to the main part of the house. This is only recommended in the summer months, as it cannot be sufficiently heated in winter.

The holiday home is located directly on the lake at the southern end of Acquaseria beach with good opportunities for swimming, SUP tours, canoeing/kayaking, water skiing and surfing.
There are storage facilities at the house for water sports equipment. A SUP, air mattresses etc. are provided free of charge. 


For hiking and walking enthusiasts, Acquaseria offers old, narrow mountain paths, known as mule tracks, which run between the individual villages.

The property nestles charmingly on the hillside over three levels. The location in the picturesque village of Acquaseria directly on the lake is a dream. Enjoy the garden, the beach or the sunset with a glass of wine on the terrace. On cooler evenings, the outdoor fireplace provides warmth and cosiness.

The entire house is furnished to a high standard and modern with real wood floorboards and underfloor heating. The kitchen is ideal for cosy cooking. The large open-plan living room is cosy at any time of year.

The house is ideal for four people. There is an optional annexe for two more as an additional bedroom above if you want more privacy or for two more people. We only recommend this in the summer months, as it can only be heated to a limited extent in winter.

Due to the stairs and the unsecured wall from the garden down to the beach, increased supervision is required for small children.

E-car charging at the domicile is not possible. Nearest public e-car charging station approx. 5km away.

How can I book an accommodation?
We distinguish between two booking types on our website. The landlord decides which type of booking he likes to offer, so that only one is possible per accommodation. You can see the valid booking type on the right side of the property listing under the price per night.

Properties with Enquiry Booking: To book an accommodation please contact the landlord by phone or via the contact form on the property listing. It is impossible to book such properties directly online on our website.

Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

Under which conditions can I book an accommodation?
Basically, the accommodation has to be vacant in your requested travel period. Furthermore, the conditions, such as max. number of guests, the minimum stay, the valid arrival and departure days have to be observed.

Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

Is the accommodation vacant and bookable in my requested travel period?
In general, you are able to rent the accommodation, if your travel period is marked as vacant in the availability calendar. You can find the calendar nearly at the end of the property listing.

If a rental price can be calculated, a booking of the property is possible in your requested travel period. For further information about where and how you can calculate the rental price, please read the answer to question no. 6.

There might be vacant periods which you are unable to book. Please see question no. 16 for more information.

Is it possible to cancel my booking?
Yes, but please note that in case of a cancellation by the tenant the landlord might charge a cancellation fee. This applies in general when a rental contract has been already concluded bindingly.

How do I calculate the total rental price?
Please specify your arrival and departure dates by typing them in directly or using the calendar on the right side of this page. Alternatively, you can use the availability calendar right below the rental prices by clicking on the dates. Afterwards you enter the number of guests and, if necessary, select optional additional services. You receive the total rental price now, which includes at least the total accommodation price including the final cleaning. Surcharges for additional guests, discounts and optional additional services are also included, if stated. All prices include VAT. Whether the tourist tax is included or not is displayed below the total rental price.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?
If a security deposit is required, please see the "Additional Price Information" in the "Rental Prices" section on this page.

What happens after I have booked an accommodation?
Once you have made a binding booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via e-mail. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check also your spam folder. You will also receive the contact details of the landlord and the property address via e-mail as soon as we determine the payment receipt on our bank account.

If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).

Is it possible to exceed the maximum number of guests?
In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.

Are there discounts for children?
Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

Where is my accommodation located?
You can see the location of your accommodation on a map in the "Location" section on this page. Right below this map, you will find distances to interesting places e.g. city center, beach, ski lift or the next shopping possibility. Furthermore, an individual text written by the landlord gives you more information about your holiday destination.

Are pets allowed?
Whether you can bring your pets or not, please read the information in the "Features" section on this page. In general, the term "Pets not allowed" means that it is not permitted to bring any kind of pets at all.

When are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
You find the check-in and check-out times under "General Information" in the "Property description" section on this page, if the landlord has entered these information. Deviations from this regulation can be discussed individually. If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord directly about this issue.

How does the handover and the return of the keys take place?
The key handover and return has to be clarified directly with the landlord. Please see question no. 18 to learn more about how and when you can contact your landlord.

Why is a price calculation impossible, even though the accommodation is vacant?
There may be various reasons for this:

  • Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
  • Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
  • A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
  • You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
  • Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
  • Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.
  • 17
    My requested travel period is below the minimum stay. How can I continue?
    In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.

    If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord via phone or the contact form on this page. If no exception can be made, the minimum stay for this accommodation has to be respected.
