SHOPPING: 30 yards away there is a small shop selling baguettes and croissants and some oft the basics. In the summer there is a fruit vendor aswell and a wine cooperative. Our you drive to Prades, a village five minutes away by car. There is a coop seeling whole food products from the farmers of the neighborhood. There is a huge out door market on Tuesdays and a whole food market on Saturdays. None the less close to Prades Center there is a big, modern supermarket too for all your daily needs. A cinema, a post office, and some wonderful cafés overshadowd by trees and several restaurants.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Five minutes by car and you reach the lake of the town of Vinca, it is a popular place for the locals to sunbath and swim. There are endless hiking routes among them a path through the Gorges de Caranca Canyon for which one has to cross a small bridge build out of ropes. There are thermal baths (Thermes de Molitg-les-Bains und Vernet-les-Bains), pittoresque villages where one can sit on the piazza (Eus, Marcevol, Mantet…) and a beautiful railroad on which you can travel on board an old school train, the Train Jaune. Our do you feel like bar hopping? Try „El Lluert“ in the village of Eus with it’s breath taking view. Our the Bar du Marché in Prades where the plane trees grow and where the village folks meet. Feel like swiming in the sea? Check out the beaches of Toureilles Plage (and visit it’s beach bar) or La Baraquette. There are the old fortresses of the Cathar in the mountains in Quéribus and Peyrepertuse. There is so much to do: Horse riding, canyoning, fishing, surfing, mountainbiking, mountainclimbing, or you take your kids and go to one o the adventure parks? If you visit us in Winter or early spring, there is excellent skiing in several places like Font-Romeu.

Stuff to do with KIDS: Three minutes from your doorstep and you walk into the tree hiking park Tet Adventure. Or you take a walk to the flowstone caves „Grottes des Canalettes“, or try rafing, tubing or the Ninja Parcours at "Kap’oupa Kap“, another adventure park. There are several zoos, like Parc Animalier de Casteil, an old fortress in the village of Villefranche. If you visit us in winter – there is fun bob sliding in Font-Romeu.

              Opening the wooden front door of Maison Marie Elise one steps into a holiday home which is a hide away and retreat. Two bedrooms, an open livng room (without doors) equipped with a state of the art sleeping couch and TV/SAT/DVD, a seperate room with a stunning fire place where one can lounge on the heavy leather sofa, a big, very well equipped kitchen and a large bathroom with both tub and shower – this is Maison Marie Elise. When you walk over the wooden and stone floor you will emediately feel at home.
              Leaving the sofa at the open fire one steps out onto the terrace towards the garden. Swallows are nesting in the house at the end of the garden, you can watch them form the stone benches, that were built by one of the towns artisans.

              If you drive 40 Minutes by car, you will reach the city of Perpignan and several beaches on the mediterranean coast. Or you head in the opposite direction – to discover the rough mountainwold of the Pyrenees.

              Maison Marie Elise is close to the N116 state road. But due to speed limits and traffic islands there is hardly any sound, sitting in our kitchen, you might here a whisper, the rest of house is calm.

              The house is equipped with linen and towels, the heating expanses are all covered by the rent. Need a parking lot? There is one just on the other side of the road.

              Last of all, we would like to mention that the house has NO WLAN. But the house will offer you something else: Time. Rest. Repose. And the feeling of being at home for some weeks in one of the prettiest valleys oft he Pyrenees. Bienvenue.

              Maison Marie Elise is a carefully renovated, spacious house decorated in a mix of modern furniture and pieces of the classic catalan style. It sits in a tiny road that looks almost medival, here at the botom of the old village of Marquixanes. Marquixanes? Is an old small town surrounded by vineyards, peach trees and apricot-orchards.
              There is a free parking place 40meters away.

              On the day of arrival, the accommodation is available from 16:00.

              On the day of departure you must leave the property by 10:00 at the latest.

              How can I book an accommodation?
              We distinguish between two booking types on our website. The landlord decides which type of booking he likes to offer, so that only one is possible per accommodation. You can see the valid booking type on the right side of the property listing under the price per night.

              Properties with Enquiry Booking: To book an accommodation please contact the landlord by phone or via the contact form on the property listing. It is impossible to book such properties directly online on our website.

              Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

              Under which conditions can I book an accommodation?
              Basically, the accommodation has to be vacant in your requested travel period. Furthermore, the conditions, such as max. number of guests, the minimum stay, the valid arrival and departure days have to be observed.

              Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

              Is the accommodation vacant and bookable in my requested travel period?
              In general, you are able to rent the accommodation, if your travel period is marked as vacant in the availability calendar. You can find the calendar nearly at the end of the property listing.

              If a rental price can be calculated, a booking of the property is possible in your requested travel period. For further information about where and how you can calculate the rental price, please read the answer to question no. 6.

              Is it possible to cancel my booking?
              Yes, but please note that in case of a cancellation by the tenant the landlord might charge a cancellation fee. This applies in general when a rental contract has been already concluded bindingly.

              How do I calculate the total rental price?
              Please specify your arrival and departure dates by typing them in directly or using the calendar on the right side of this page. Alternatively, you can use the availability calendar right below the rental prices by clicking on the dates. Afterwards you enter the number of guests and, if necessary, select optional additional services. You receive the total rental price now, which includes at least the total accommodation price including the final cleaning. Surcharges for additional guests, discounts and optional additional services are also included, if stated. All prices include VAT. Whether the tourist tax is included or not is displayed below the total rental price.

              Do I have to pay a security deposit?

              What happens after I have booked an accommodation?
              Once you have made a binding booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via e-mail. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check also your spam folder. You will also receive the contact details of the landlord and the property address via e-mail as soon as we determine the payment receipt on our bank account.

              If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).

              Is it possible to exceed the maximum number of guests?
              In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.

              Are there discounts for children?
              Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

              Where is my accommodation located?
              You can see the location of your accommodation on a map in the "Location" section on this page. Right below this map, you will find distances to interesting places e.g. city center, beach, ski lift or the next shopping possibility. Furthermore, an individual text written by the landlord gives you more information about your holiday destination.

              Are pets allowed?
              Whether you can bring your pets or not, please read the information in the "Features" section on this page. In general, the term "Pets not allowed" means that it is not permitted to bring any kind of pets at all.

              When are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
              You find the check-in and check-out times under "General Information" in the "Property description" section on this page, if the landlord has entered these information. Deviations from this regulation can be discussed individually. If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord directly about this issue.

              How does the handover and the return of the keys take place?
              The key handover and return has to be clarified directly with the landlord. Please see question no. 18 to learn more about how and when you can contact your landlord.

              Why is a price calculation impossible, even though the accommodation is vacant?
              There may be various reasons for this:

            • Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
            • Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
            • A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
            • You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
            • Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
            • Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.

              My requested travel period is below the minimum stay. How can I continue?
              In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.
