The chalet is located right at the gateway to the beautiful Ilsetal in the National Park community of Ilsenburg. Through the Ilsetal along the "Heinrich-Heine-Wanderweg" it goes past the Ilsestein, the Ilse falls and the Bismarck cliffs on the Brocken summit, 10.5 km away. It is the most beautiful ascent to the Brocken that the Harz has to offer, because all the habitats of the Harz National Park can be hiked through here on idyllic paths.
You can easily reach the city center, the bakery, supermarket, restaurant and cafe even without a car.
Very close to the chalet there is a well-kept and beautiful playground, a Kneipp facility with fresh, clear Ilse water, a climbing park and the National Park House, from where guided hikes with rangers in the National Park take place. The Ilsetal is a starting point for hikers, mountain bikers, Nordic Walkers and nature lovers.
You can quickly get to Wernigerode, Quedlinburg, Goslar or Braunschweig via the B 6n.

Chalet zum Salamander offers an open-plan living/dining area on the ground floor with access to the covered terrace and garden. On the upper floor you will find the bedroom with a double bed and the gallery with two single beds. Both offer access to the covered wooden balcony with a view of the castle.
There is a spacious shower room on each floor, with a sauna on the ground floor.
You can look forward to a unique, rustic, really cozy ambience that is characterized by natural materials and lovingly furnished rooms.
The processed solid carriage plank, made of Karelian pine, gives the house its very own original touch.
The open living and dining area with integrated kitchen and fireplace offers space for 2-6 people and invites you to linger. In a bathroom equipped with underfloor heating and a spacious sauna, you can relax ideally at any time of the year. On the upper floor there is another individually designed bathroom, which can be reached via a gallery. To feel good, the bedroom has a double bed and the gallery has two single beds. The covered wooden balcony is from the bedroom and from the gallery
accessible.
A barbecue grill is available directly in front of the covered wooden terrace. Sufficient garden furniture is at your disposal.
Parking is available on the property at the house.
