▸ Tourist Information
In the basement, we have set up a central information point, which is, of course, also in keeping with the theme.
Numerous brochures are displayed on the walls, providing information about the many possibilities available in the Harz region.
As more and more information is only available in digital form, which is of course much better for the environment and the future of our children and grandchildren, we have also made sure that a digital information desk is available. Here, all Harz adventures and activities can be accessed and viewed at any time with the latest information.
As always, we are of course happy to help if you need any assistance!
▸ Mountain village of Sieber
The picturesque village of Sieber is located on the edge of the Harz National Park in the Siebertal valley, surrounded by extensive forests, exciting high altitudes and phenomenal views. All these ingredients make this paradise one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Europe. A nature reserve known for its unique flora and fauna, where there are new discoveries to be made on every adventure. In addition to the beautiful surroundings and wonderful nature, and despite the fact that Sieber is a small village, there is also plenty to do in the village!
▸ “Große Wiese” leisure park
For children, the approximately 65,000 m2 “Große Wiesen” leisure park, less than a 3-minute walk away, offers a large adventure playground. Here they can climb, scramble and slide to their heart's content. The park also has a mini golf course and an outdoor swimming pool with a children's pool.
But the park also offers plenty of recreational opportunities for the older generation. It has a beautiful pond and extensive, well-kept lawns with beautiful flower beds. Here you can enjoy a lovely walk without too much effort.
▸ Hiking fun
With an oversized bench, a giant wind chime, a charcoal kiln, a barefoot path and many other interesting stations, the nature trail is a fun hiking adventure, especially for children.
In addition, the panoramic trail, which winds around Sieber like a cloverleaf, offers many beautiful views and distant vistas. Klein Holland Harz can also be seen from different angles!
And if you look closely, you may even be lucky enough to spot small and large forest animals.
▸ Highlights
In addition to the smaller hiking trails in and around Sieber, there are also larger ones such as: The Harzer Baudensteig Part 2 and Part 3 (also part of the Harzer Wandernadel), as well as the European Long-Distance Hiking Trail Number 6.
The hiking trails to the Großer Knollen and Hanskühnenburg lead to the most beautiful highlights and start right next to the front door!
▸ The Harz
The Harz, where an oasis of calm, beautiful nature and many hiking trails begin right on your doorstep. But where you are also just a few minutes' drive away from the lively part of the Harz with its many cosy towns, beautiful villages, cultural sights and adventurous experiences. And where in winter, when Mother Holle transforms the landscape into a white winter wonderland, the snow fun begins right outside the door and various ski areas are within easy reach, such as the Matthias Schmidt Mountain in Sankt Andreasberg, the Wurmberg in Braunlage or the Bocksberg in Hahnenklee. There are also numerous smaller ski areas in the surrounding area.
Here, where in every season, both in the beautiful surroundings and in and around our cosy ‘Klein Holland Harz’, you can spend a wonderful holiday under the “Zaanse” motto ‘Oit & Tois’, or as they say in German, “outside and yet at home”.
The Harz is a destination with endless possibilities.
No one needs to be bored here!
In the Harz Mountains, every season is a great adventure for young and old. There are plenty of leisure and recreational opportunities for every taste, and almost all places and sights in the Harz Mountains can be reached from Klein Holland Harz within an hour. We believe that even we, as residents, will never manage to see all the beautiful places and sights! So it's no surprise that many people visit the Harz Mountains every year or even several times a year.
Although Klein Holland Harz itself has an extensive information centre, we can well imagine that you would like to know what there is to see and do during your stay before you leave home. The best and always up-to-date travel guide for this is the Harz Tourism Association.

▸ To the horizon and back...
The Brocken, also known as Blocksberg, is the highest mountain in northern Germany at 1141.2 metres and is located in the Harz National Park. The mountain is a popular tourist attraction and can be climbed on foot or by bicycle via various hiking and cycling trails. Another unique experience is the ride to the top on the narrow-gauge railway. The journey takes you from former East Germany through the wilderness of the Harz National Park with magnificent views to the highest peak. A peak known for its capricious weather conditions, where snow in late spring and early autumn is no exception, and which can offer impressive panoramic views of more than a hundred kilometres in clear weather. It is notorious not only for its fame but also for its many legends, including the phenomenon of the ‘Brocken spectre’ and Walpurgis, where witches and devils rule.
In cooperation with Harzer Schmalspurbahnen GmbH, we can offer our guests train tickets to the Brocken at an attractive price. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please order your tickets at least 14 days before your stay with us. We will then ensure that the tickets are ready for the entire group.
Tickets purchased/ordered from us are valid indefinitely. This means you can wait for the best weather conditions and even save the tickets for your next stay in the Harz Mountains. In addition, tickets purchased/ordered from us always guarantee that you can travel at the desired time and date. This means you can go straight to the platform to board the train as soon as it arrives and immediately enjoy the fantastic journey to the Brocken!
We wish all our guests lots of fun at this highlight of the Harz Mountains!
