A varied landscape on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest, between Coburg and the most famous hiking trail in Thuringia, the Rennsteig awaits you. Our apartment is on the outskirts of Rauenstein and in the immediate vicinity of the forest. Rauenstein is located in the Thuringian Forest Nature Park. Thanks to our central location, we are an ideal starting point for many sights and excursion destinations.
The Schaumburger Land will impress you with unique sights such as the Rauenstein ruins, the New Rauenstein Castle with the porcelain exhibition and the Schildkröt doll exhibition, the glass museum in Lauscha and much more. Here you can marvel at and explore a lot of culture and ancient history.
You will find peace and relaxation on our scenic hiking trails with wonderful views of the nearby Rennsteig, but also through cool meadows with a variety of plants and many witnesses of the past

The 75 square meter apartment is on the top floor of our house and is comfortably and modernly furnished. It has a living room and lounge with kitchenette, a bedroom with a double bed, a small bedroom with 2 single beds and a fully equipped bathroom.
The apartment is fully equipped, microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, etc. Free WiFi, bed linen, towels, etc.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove with oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, mixer and much more.
The large bedroom has a double bed and a closet. In the smaller bedroom you will find two single beds and a closet. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower and a toilet.
Bed linen and towels are provided by the house and are included in the price.
You can book breakfast on request.
On rainy days you can use the wonderful winter garden on the ground floor of the house with a view of the garden. Use our newly built barbecue area with garden furniture and much more even on sunny days. Our spacious lawn invites you to relax and unwind. You can have fun with your loved ones at the table tennis table.
Parking at the house and 1 more is available free of charge approx. 50 m from the house.

Ski hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity (approx. 800 m away) Alpine skiing is approx. 10 km away, in the Silbersattel ski arena in Steinach. There is storage space for skis. Ski rental is possible in Neuhaus and Steinach.

If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).
