My ☆comfort downtown Appartement☆ is located on the ground floor of a 3-story apartment building in the heart of downtown Essen. In only 8 minutes walking distance you can reach the shopping centre Limbecker Platz as well as the city of Essen with the two shopping streets "Limbecker Straße" and "Kettwiger Straße" and all the sights of Essen's city centre. It takes about 5 minutes more to Essen main station.

The apartment is located in a quiet side street. This means that you have two advantages: You can reach the city on foot, but it is still quiet. The residential parking zone ends one street in front of the apartment, so you can park on the street at the apartment for free. A rarity in the city centre!

The apartment is 2.8 km away from Messe Essen (walking distance approx. 35 minutes) and thus an ideal starting point for fair visitors and exhibitors. (Please note that I have a longer minimum stay at fair times!!).

The apartment is about 2 km away from the University of Essen. From here there is a bicycle lane/jogging track which will take you 20 km through Essen without you seeing a road. The track is a former railway track and leads through the greenery, so that travellers or business people who like to jog in the evening will get their money's worth here. Further information gladly personally on site :-)

Insider tips:
A few minutes walk from the apartment is one of the trendiest locations in the city centre: The Unperfekthaus. The Unperfekthaus is totally difficult to describe, because it is simply an imperfect house and you have to experience it. You pay a small entrance fee and then you have access to four floors where artists, singers, tradesmen, guests, students and many other people meet and exchange ideas. You can look into every room, every studio and chat with the exhibitors. All non-alcoholic drinks are included in the entrance fee. You should definitely try this.
If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, you should take a look at the church garden of Essen Cathedral. It's a very small, but therefore all the more quiet place that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city centre completely and where you can find a little break.

I have furnished my cosy 43 sqm holiday flat with a lot of love for detail and I want you to feel at home with me. The apartment itself consists of a large bedroom, a hallway which also serves as a dressing room, a kitchen and a bathroom.

The cozy and large bedroom is equipped with two comfortable boxsping beds, which can either stand separately or be joined to form a double bed, a cosy sitting area with a table & two small armchairs and a comfortable couch, which can be used as a sofa bed for a third person if required.

☆ Kitchen ☆
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need in a modern kitchen: Dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, kettle and most importantly a Senseo coffee machine. ?

☆ Bathroom ☆
The new and modern bathroom oasis has an extra-large walk-in shower and is an absolute highlight of the apartment.

Additional info:
I offer you Internet access in the apartment with a 50,000 line. The use is free of charge, only downloads and visiting illegal websites are prohibited. I always have a small additional agreement signed that the internet may only be used for legal purposes.

There are plenty of parking spaces directly in front of the door. Everything free of charge :-)

Special features

My apartment is an apartment for you and you alone. So you don't have to share a bathroom or kitchen with anyone.

The apartment is a non-smoking only apartment. However, you have the possibility to smoke under the canopy in front of the door. The way to the door is, because it is a ground floor apartment, about 5 meters long and you only have to climb three steps ;-) So it's perfectly feasible.

General Information

At the beginning of your stay a super nice welcome awaits you by me personally. So I can answer all your questions and also give you some tips what you can do in Essen.
After your arrival you can always reach me via e-mail or mobile phone. So if you have any questions or problems, I'm always here :-)

On the day of arrival, the accommodation is available from 16:00.

On the day of departure you must leave the property by 11:00 at the latest.

How can I book an accommodation?
We distinguish between two booking types on our website. The landlord decides which type of booking he likes to offer, so that only one is possible per accommodation. You can see the valid booking type on the right side of the property listing under the price per night.

Properties with Enquiry Booking: To book an accommodation please contact the landlord by phone or via the contact form on the property listing. It is impossible to book such properties directly online on our website.

Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

Under which conditions can I book an accommodation?
Basically, the accommodation has to be vacant in your requested travel period. Furthermore, the conditions, such as max. number of guests, the minimum stay, the valid arrival and departure days have to be observed.

Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

Is the accommodation vacant and bookable in my requested travel period?
In general, you are able to rent the accommodation, if your travel period is marked as vacant in the availability calendar. You can find the calendar nearly at the end of the property listing.

If a rental price can be calculated, a booking of the property is possible in your requested travel period. For further information about where and how you can calculate the rental price, please read the answer to question no. 6.

There might be vacant periods which you are unable to book. Please see question no. 16 for more information.

How can I pay my booking and what are the dates of payment?
Properties with Enquiry Booking: Please settle the modalities as well as the conditions for the payment directly with the landlord.

Is it possible to cancel my booking?
Yes, but please note that in case of a cancellation by the tenant the landlord might charge a cancellation fee. This applies in general when a rental contract has been already concluded bindingly.

How do I calculate the total rental price?
Please specify your arrival and departure dates by typing them in directly or using the calendar on the right side of this page. Alternatively, you can use the availability calendar right below the rental prices by clicking on the dates. Afterwards you enter the number of guests and, if necessary, select optional additional services. You receive the total rental price now, which includes at least the total accommodation price including the final cleaning. Surcharges for additional guests, discounts and optional additional services are also included, if stated. All prices include VAT. Whether the tourist tax is included or not is displayed below the total rental price.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?
If a security deposit is required, please see the "Additional Price Information" in the "Rental Prices" section on this page.

What happens after I have booked an accommodation?
Once you have made a binding booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via e-mail. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check also your spam folder. You will also receive the contact details of the landlord and the property address via e-mail as soon as we determine the payment receipt on our bank account.

If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).

Is it possible to exceed the maximum number of guests?
In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.

Are there discounts for children?
Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

Where is my accommodation located?
You can see the location of your accommodation on a map in the "Location" section on this page. Right below this map, you will find distances to interesting places e.g. city center, beach, ski lift or the next shopping possibility. Furthermore, an individual text written by the landlord gives you more information about your holiday destination.

Are pets allowed?
Whether you can bring your pets or not, please read the information in the "Features" section on this page. In general, the term "Pets not allowed" means that it is not permitted to bring any kind of pets at all.

When are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
You find the check-in and check-out times under "General Information" in the "Property description" section on this page, if the landlord has entered these information. Deviations from this regulation can be discussed individually. If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord directly about this issue.

How does the handover and the return of the keys take place?
The key handover and return has to be clarified directly with the landlord. Please see question no. 18 to learn more about how and when you can contact your landlord.

Why is a price calculation impossible, even though the accommodation is vacant?
There may be various reasons for this:

  • Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
  • Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
  • A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
  • You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
  • Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
  • Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.
  • 17
    My requested travel period is below the minimum stay. How can I continue?
    In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.

    If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord via phone or the contact form on this page. If no exception can be made, the minimum stay for this accommodation has to be respected.
