Treptow-Köpenick
• The district of Treptow-Köpenick is the largest Berlin district in terms of area. At the same time, it has the lowest population density. The district of Treptow in the north-east borders directly on the inner-city districts of Neukölln, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain. But even here you will find large green areas like the Treptower Park, Plänterwald and the Königsheide. Köpenick is located in the south-east, where the metropolis merges with the Berlin hinterland. You can relax in various forests around Lake Müggelsee, Lake Seddinsee and the rivers Spree and Dahme and go swimming in summer.
• Among the sights worth visiting are Köpenick Palace and the adjacent old town. Here you will also find the town hall, the scene of Wilhelm Voigt's famous prank, better known as "Hauptmann von Köpenick" (The Captain of Köpenick).

Public transport connection
The S-Bahn lines S9 and S45 connect the district with Schoenefeld Airport to the south and the city centre. The city centre can be reached from the south-western part of Treptow-Köpenick by S-Bahn lines S8, S46, S47 and S85. The S3 connects the north-eastern parts of Köpenick with the city centre.

o take the S3 to Köpenick station
o from there take bus 169 in the direction of Müggelheim to the last stop 'Odernheimer Straße', then
o go in direction of travel left into 'Hinter der Düne'
o turn left into 'Hirseländerweg', then
o turn left until you reach 'An der Himmelswiese'

Coming from any direction - in Köpenick:
o go on in the direction of Müggelheim
o drive around the village square/church and
o turn right into Odernheimer Straße, then
o drive along Odernheimer Straße almost to the end, then
o turn left into 'Raumbacher Straße', then
o turn right into 'Hirseländer Weg', then
o after two more streets turn left into 'An der Himmelswiese'

House rules
• Check-in: from 14.00 hrs
• Check-out: by 11.00 a.m.
• Other check-in and check-out times can be arranged on request.
• As security against possible damages we ask for a deposit of at least 200,- € on my separately held deposit account, which will be communicated to you when booking.
• The Berlin Citytax / bed tax of 5% is payable in cash at check-in.
• no 14-day right of withdrawal (commercial host), the stated cancellation regulations apply
• For credit card payments, payments via PayPal, Google Pay or paydirekt we charge a transaction fee of three euros.
• non-smoker's apartment - small outdoor smoking area in front of the apartment entrance only in case of very heavy rain, otherwise at the 'coffee place'
• extended night rest period: 8 pm - 8 am
• We are very considerate of our guests and of course expect the same from you.
• Please note that the arrival of fitters is only permitted after consultation with the landlord before booking!

How can I book an accommodation?
We distinguish between two booking types on our website. The landlord decides which type of booking he likes to offer, so that only one is possible per accommodation. You can see the valid booking type on the right side of the property listing under the price per night.

Properties with Enquiry Booking: To book an accommodation please contact the landlord by phone or via the contact form on the property listing. It is impossible to book such properties directly online on our website.

Properties with Online Booking: To book an accommodation directly and bindingly online, please enter your travel period, the number of guests and calculate the valid price. Afterwards, please complete the booking form in three easy steps. Alternatively, you can also use our telephone booking service.

Under which conditions can I book an accommodation?
Basically, the accommodation has to be vacant in your requested travel period. Furthermore, the conditions, such as max. number of guests, the minimum stay, the valid arrival and departure days have to be observed.

Please note: The rental contract is always concluded between the tenant and the landlord. Travanto is just the intermediary.

Is the accommodation vacant and bookable in my requested travel period?
In general, you are able to rent the accommodation, if your travel period is marked as vacant in the availability calendar. You can find the calendar nearly at the end of the property listing.

If a rental price can be calculated, a booking of the property is possible in your requested travel period. For further information about where and how you can calculate the rental price, please read the answer to question no. 6.

There might be vacant periods which you are unable to book. Please see question no. 16 for more information.

Is it possible to cancel my booking?
Yes, but please note that in case of a cancellation by the tenant the landlord might charge a cancellation fee. This applies in general when a rental contract has been already concluded bindingly.

How do I calculate the total rental price?
Please specify your arrival and departure dates by typing them in directly or using the calendar on the right side of this page. Alternatively, you can use the availability calendar right below the rental prices by clicking on the dates. Afterwards you enter the number of guests and, if necessary, select optional additional services. You receive the total rental price now, which includes at least the total accommodation price including the final cleaning. Surcharges for additional guests, discounts and optional additional services are also included, if stated. All prices include VAT. Whether the tourist tax is included or not is displayed below the total rental price.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?
If a security deposit is required, please see the "Additional Price Information" in the "Rental Prices" section on this page.

What happens after I have booked an accommodation?
Once you have made a binding booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via e-mail. If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check also your spam folder. You will also receive the contact details of the landlord and the property address via e-mail as soon as we determine the payment receipt on our bank account.

If there are only 5 days between the booking and the arrival date, you will immediately receive the contact details of the landlord and the address of the accommodation via e-mail. In the case you booked an accommodation of our cooperation partners, you will immediately receive the booking confirmation as well as the contact details of the landlord and the property address. Please note our payment modalities and conditions at any time (see question no. 4).

Is it possible to exceed the maximum number of guests?
In general it is impossible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Not even if you organise more sleeping facilities by yourself. Children, regardless of age, are considered as a guest. The indicated rental price is only valid for the maximum possible number of guests.

Are there discounts for children?
Some properties offer special rates for children. You can recognize those accommodations, if you are asked about the amount and the age of the travelling children in the price calculation. If this is not the case, the stated prices apply to all guests (regardless of age).

Where is my accommodation located?
You can see the location of your accommodation on a map in the "Location" section on this page. Right below this map, you will find distances to interesting places e.g. city center, beach, ski lift or the next shopping possibility. Furthermore, an individual text written by the landlord gives you more information about your holiday destination.

You find the information about the floor right below the pictures of the accommodation at the top of this page.

Are pets allowed?
Whether you can bring your pets or not, please read the information in the "Features" section on this page. In general, the term "Pets not allowed" means that it is not permitted to bring any kind of pets at all.

When are the check-in and check-out times for my accommodation?
You find the check-in and check-out times under "General Information" in the "Property description" section on this page, if the landlord has entered these information. Deviations from this regulation can be discussed individually. If your arrival/departure has to be very early/late, we will gladly clarify this with the landlord, if the accommodation is only bookable online. If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord directly about this issue.

How does the handover and the return of the keys take place?
The key handover and return has to be clarified directly with the landlord. Please see question no. 18 to learn more about how and when you can contact your landlord.

Why is a price calculation impossible, even though the accommodation is vacant?
There may be various reasons for this:

  • Your travel period undercuts the given minimum stay.
  • Your desired date of arrival/departure is impossible according to the landlord's settings.
  • A gap in the calendar is impossible to rent, if it undercuts the minimum stay, e.g. A gap of three nights is not bookable, if the given minimum stay is five nights.
  • You cannot book an accommodation, if your desired travel period causes a gap which is lower than the minimum stay.
  • Your requested arrival date is too short-term.
  • Since some of our accommodations are from cooperation partners, it is possible that the given data may not be up-to-date. In this case your desired travel period may be no longer available in the price calculation.
  • 17
    My requested travel period is below the minimum stay. How can I continue?
    In this case your desired travel period is not bookable. You can extend your stay, if this is an option for you or you search for another accommodation with an appropriate minimum stay.

    If you chose a property with Enquiry Booking, please contact the landlord via phone or the contact form on this page. If no exception can be made, the minimum stay for this accommodation has to be respected.
