What is the difference between online reservation, Direct Enquiry and request booking?
With Online Booking, you can book accommodation directly without having to make an inquiry. This is a binding agreement between you and the property owner. As the tenant you can make an immediate booking to properties that this booking option applies to. You can check the availability calendar within the listing and book any available dates. To do this you must enter your information and details in our online booking form, taking into account the criteria assigned by the landlord (e.g. minimum stay, day of arrival, etc.)
With the Direct Enquiry booking system, you will send a contractually-binding request to the landlord. If the landlord confirms the enquiry within 24 hours, the booking is made contractually-binding for both parties and confirmation will be received by E-Mail. If the landlord is busy, and fails to reply to the booking within the 24-hour timeframe, they will have another 24 hours to confirm the booking. In this second period, the booking will only be created if you, the potential tenant, confirm you are still interested in residing in the holiday property. If the landlord fails to respond or wishes to decline your booking, there is no cost charged.
Depending on the property, there may be changes to the payment option required (both the Online Booking and Direct Enquiry booking systems), as well as the processing date of the booking.
With the booking request option you to make a request directly to the property owner. This is done by phone or contact form. The property owner will consider your request and get back to you with a decision. This option requires more communication (incl. booking process.) This process is done solely between you and the landlord.
Little tip: If you are looking for accommodation, and one booking option suits you more than the other, then you can filter your preferences in your search on our websites.
